3LS Work|Spaces COVID-19 Response

image of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)

Effective midnight Sunday, March 22, a new Metro Nashville order requires all Nashville residents to stay home for 14 days and certain non-essential businesses to close.   You can get more information here:  https://www.asafenashville.org/safer-at-home-order/

3LS Properties, Inc., and 3LS Work|Spaces in Nashville and Goodlettsville provide essential services for business continuity, and support many members that are also providing essential services. At this time we are taking the following actions in both our Nashville and Goodlettsville properties, and both Work|Spaces locations.

Beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, March 23, all exterior doors at 301 Building in Nashville will be locked and accessible ONLY via access card for the duration of this mandate. The Goodlettsville building is already access card only.

While building tenants and 3LS Work|Spaces members will still have access to the building and offices, if you are NOT an essential business as outlined at the above link, we ask that you abide by the mandate – stay home and do not come to the building unless absolutely necessary.  If you ARE an essential business, we ask that you work from home as much as possible during the next two weeks, and limit outside visitors when you are in the building.

If you are an essential business, and you have appointments coming that cannot be rescheduled, your visitor will need to call you upon arrival and you will need to let them in.  As always, for security purposes, DO NOT let anyone into the building or the suite that is not here to see you.  Anyone who is supposed to be in the building should either have an access card or contact information for the person they are here to see.

3LS Work|Spaces staff will be working reduced hours, with only one management person coming to each facility daily to receive mail. The office will not be operating on regular hours and will not be open for coworking or outside meetings, nor will we be conducting office tours. At this time, we are operating as if closed as far as visitors are concerned, and will adhere to our afterhours visitor security policy (same as above).

Maintenance and janitorial staff will continue to be onsite as regularly scheduled.  Janitorial staff is disinfecting all common areas nightly. We ask that you reduce the use of any shared common areas at this time, including breakrooms. Staff will NOT be making coffee at the community coffee pot. If you must come to the office, please bring your own coffee with you, or utilize the hot water machine or Keurig, where provided.

Office Space Still Available for Essential Businesses, COVID-19 Response Agencies, or Tornado Victims

If you are an ESSENTIAL business or agency responding to COVID-19, or a business affected by the recent Nashville tornado and there is anything we can do to assist your business during this time, please contact us. We do still have some private office space available right now, and can assist on a case-by-case basis. Our virtual office programs are also an option for any business needing continuity at this time.

Our goal is to support the day-to-day operations of members – and any other local business or entity who needs assistance – as much as possible right now.

COVID-19 Resources for Businesses and Employers

image of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)

COVID-19, more commonly referred to as coronavirus, continues to spread around the Nashville area.  We want to update our members on steps we are taking in light of this outbreak, and also offer some COVID-19 resources for businesses and employers.

While the spread is occurring quickly, it’s important to keep in mind that the overall risk to the general public remains low. As with the flu and other viruses, employing thorough health hygiene practices will help prevent the spread of the illness.  Also, one of the most important things you can do at this time is remain calm.  Remember, Facts Not Fear.  The best place to get factual information about the virus and how to respond is CDC.gov.  Do not rely on social media.

3LS WorkSpaces currently has no plans to close either location at this time.  We are currently taking extra precautions and increasing cleaning and sanitizing of common areas during the day.  Our staff is regularly wiping down and disinfecting our main entry door handles, kitchen surfaces, microwave panels, refrigerator handles, copier, and coffee pot handle.  We are also disinfecting our main entry doors and other areas at the end of each day with MicroBan disinfectant, which works to kill germs and viruses for 24 hours.  Our nightly cleaning crew has always used hospital grade disinfectant on all common areas – counters, table tops, doorknobs, door push plates, etc.

At our Nashville location, we continue to ask visitors with ANY recent symptoms of illness to wait across the hall in Room 102 instead of entering the Suite.  We ask that you contact anyone with a scheduled appointment and ask them to reschedule if they are currently sick.  We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone visibly ill.

If YOU or a FAMILY MEMBER is sick, we ask that you stay home if at all possible.  If not possible, we ask that you refrain from using common areas inside the shared workspace.   If your child is out of school, you MAY NOT bring them to the office.

Please see below for more information, and also links to share with your employees.

Health hygiene practices to prevent the spread of any illness
The best way to prevent the spread of any illness is to practice good health hygiene practices, such as these:

  • Avoid contact with sick people.
  • Wash hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds—scrubbing the front and back of your hands, fingers and under each nail. If soap and water is not available, use alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
  • Consider temporarily limiting your physical contact —such as shaking hands or hugging.
  • Stay home if you or a family member are sick – do not come into the office. If you are well enough to work, discuss with your supervisor the possibility of working remotely. If you are too sick to work, you should take PTO.
  • After visiting public places, wash or sanitize your hands according to the instructions above after your visit is complete.
  • If you become sick, call your doctor BEFORE going to their office.

Keeping our offices healthy
We are also recommending additional measures to help keep our offices healthy, including:

  • Posters and reminders to support the health hygiene practices outlined above have been put up restrooms and kitchens as a reminder.  A CDC poster and fact sheet are available for your use, as well as other COVID-19 resources for businesses and employers listed below.
  • We recommend frequent cleaning and wiping down of surfaces inside your office at the beginning and end of each day—especially in shared offices—to help prevent the spread of germs.  If you need clorox wipes or cleaning spray, we are happy to let you use some of ours until you can purchase your own supplies to keep in your office.

Additional resources about COVID-19 that might be helpful to your business:

  1. Resources for Businesses and Employers – from the CDC
  2. What Every American Can Do to Decrease the Spread of Coronavirus – from the CDC
  3. Communication Resources – from the CDC
  4. Guidance for Employers – from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce
  5. Workplace Tips for Employees – from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce
  6. Combating the Coronavirus – from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce

We will continue to monitor this situation and adapt as needed—and as we do so, we ask for your patience and understanding. This situation is one that is receiving our full attention and due diligence.

Perimeter Park Executive Center Rebrands as 3LS Work|Spaces

Second location opening in Goodlettsville this November

As we gear up to open a new location in Goodlettsville, now is the perfect time to rebrand in a way that clearly and simply states what we can provide to today’s worker.

In the past ten years, the way people work changed dramatically. For example, the internet allows people to be less tied to a corporate office location. As a result, industry experts expect work to become more flexible over the next ten years. In response, we simplified and focused our services to reflect the new normal.

Most importantly, our mission remains the same. Helping local businesses and entrepreneurs work more efficiently and effectively continues to motivate us. We want to provide affordable, professional, flexible workspace and business services to underserved areas of Nashville.

Reasons to Choose South Nashville for Your Business Location

The South Nashville/Antioch area is one of the fastest growing business sectors in Nashville.  Our proximity to all three major interstates and our relatively inexpensive rents when compared to other areas of town are just two of the reasons that you should consider making this part of Nashville your business home.

The following infographic from the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce shows just how much South Nashville and Antioch have grown over the past few years.  This area has the fastest growing – and the most diverse – population in Davidson County.  Education and income levels have also increased significantly.

Bridgestone Americas chose Antioch for its 77,000 sq. ft. Operations Center, and cited the area’s rapid revitalization and the fact that Antioch is the fastest-growing community in Davidson County as the reasons for choosing the location.

#Nashville Business Journal Says Nolensville Pike is Nashville’s Next #RealEstate Hot Spot

We’ve always said we have a great location, but it’s going to get even better!  The developer with the Midas touch, Mark Deutschmann, and other developers have turned their attention to the Nolensville Pike area, which is close to our office and conference center.

The development and general revitalization will include condos, restaurants, and Fairground expansion, as well as a possible soccer field.

The area is home for many of Nashville’s immigrants, and community leaders will be supporting the revitalization projects while trying to avoid gentrification.  The rich history and diverse population of the area are worth saving.

For more information, check out the article in the May 19th, 2017, edition of the Nashville Business Journal.  NBJ subscribers can read the full article here.
